Category Driven?[edit]

Is anybody else interested in making this one more category driven than OSAD? For example: Category:1980 Articles Requiring Images, etc., instead of a manual list. --Steelviper 15:19, 2 January 2008 (CST)

I don't know if that would work that well. Let's just go with a list for now and cross it off when we get to it. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 15:22, 2 January 2008 (CST)

Finished Articles[edit]

When I'm finished with an article, am I supposed to cross it out or just remove it from the list?--OrionFour 20:22, 4 January 2008 (CST)

Move finished articles to "verification". If you look over a verified article and everything checks out on it, cross it out. It'll get removed once that episode is done and everything gets removed for it. At least, that's how it works over at BW:OSAD. (Except for the removing stuff, since I rarely get a whole episode completed.) --Steelviper 20:39, 4 January 2008 (CST)
Ah ok. Thanks!--OrionFour 20:49, 4 January 2008 (CST)

The Super Scouts bios[edit]

I'm a little conflicted about these super scouts. Part of me says, we really shouldn't have even more bio stub pages floating around, but another part of me says that as this wiki is an archive, and for consistency, we should do bios (even if only a sentence or two) for all of them. None of them really went on to do anything spectacular, save Lindsay Kennedy, who went on to star as Little Jeb from Little House on the Prairie. Three of them are Glen Larson's kids, but other than that, most of them were just temp child actors who did other things with their lives when they grew up (information that we will never ever find or be able to verify).--OrionFour 19:11, 5 January 2008 (CST)

Well, we could simply do an article on Super Scout actors, which would be similar to the Unnamed characters article in format, I would imagine. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 19:44, 5 January 2008 (CST)
That would work. We could even start with a paragraph about casting, with something about Glen Larson's kids, or any other info that we can dig up. Would it be called "The Super Scouts (cast)", maybe "The Super Scouts (biographies)"? Would we need to make a disambig out of The Super Scouts? Also can we verify which child actors portrayed which super scouts? I know four of them have names, who played them?--OrionFour 20:12, 5 January 2008 (CST)
Yeah, I suppose we can name it "The Super Scouts (cast)". For the disambig, the disambig shouldn't be "The Super Scouts" (so we can keep the article on the Super Scouts themselves), but The Super Scouts (disambiguation) instead. As for the Scouts themselves... the only way to identify them definitively is to match them up with who was who in "Greetings From Earth". That's the tough part, since they're not credited on screen... IMDb has a few things to say about who plays whom, but... well... it's IMDb. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 20:15, 5 January 2008 (CST)
Yeah IMDb sucks again. According to them, Starla is played by Michelle Larson, Moonstone is played by Eric Larson, and David Larson is some other random super scout. Eric Taslitz plays a super scout named "Jason". The other two super scout names we have are not on their site. Even if one of the named scouts is another one of the Larson kids, we'll never know the identity of the fourth unfortunately.--OrionFour 22:09, 5 January 2008 (CST)
Jason = Wellington. They weren't consistent between Super Scouts and Spaceball on his character name. As for the Larson kids, there's some confusion as to which ones they actually are. I'm betting that Starla is actually NOT a Larson, since Michelle Larson and some of the Larson kids also played in Greetings From Earth, and there were a couple of blondes, but the brunette girl was way older than the Super Scouts (or at least Starla). I'm betting the Larsons were the blondes, but I'm/we're still trying to get confirmation on that. --Steelviper 22:20, 5 January 2008 (CST)
Ick. I'm finally starting to get the full scope on just how inaccurate IMDb really is. It makes you wonder how the hell IMDb got their info on who played which super scout. It just simply can't be trusted. Well I'll get started on putting something together here for the super scouts, we can always clean it up in verification.--OrionFour 15:17, 6 January 2008 (CST)
Yeah, IMDb doesn't have a rigorous fact-checking force. (They really ought to, they have the money for it! They're owned by Amazon for Sagan's sake!) I've had to go there and fix several RDM entries over character names and minor characters... Frankly, I guess if it sticks on the wall they put it up. :( -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 15:27, 6 January 2008 (CST)

Allan Cole[edit]

Allan Cole blogged about Galactica 1980 here. Talk about a tell-all. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 04:05, 8 January 2008 (CST)

Oh, this will be a fun read indeed. --Spencerian 13:38, 8 January 2008 (CST)

Per Other[edit]

Per that section, I got the ball rolling with (some - and stubbily) of the end credits for Galactica 1980: End credits#Galactica 1980.--DrWho42 06:43, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
