Issue 6 was released with two different cover variants:

This issue was published approximately two months before the Season 3 premiere (which aired October 6, 2006), building anticipation for the new season.
Michael Trucco's character Samuel Anders had been introduced in Season 2 as a resistance fighter and Pyramid star on the occupied planet Caprica, and his romantic relationship with Starbuck had become a major storyline.
The "tragic hero" description in Trucco's interview likely references Anders' situation as a resistance leader and his complicated relationship with Starbuck, who had left him behind on Caprica before returning for a rescue mission.
Jamie Bamber's Lee "Apollo" Adama was positioned for significant character development in Season 3, including his promotion to Pegasus' commander and complex relationship dynamics.
