:I agree with you that the article is marked with the spoiler tag, so that's not a problem. However, people are getting confused (again) by you posting information they can't possibly check, so maybe it's better you just wait until after the airing, which is Sunday night at 10 PM. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 15:42, 25 March 2007 (CDT)

: Folks, please remember that this wiki is judged by the quality of information (and how well that information is sourced), not by how fast we get something up. As Catrope said, it may be better to wait until after the airing, which is merely 5 hours away on the US eastern seaboard. So say we all. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 16:00, 25 March 2007 (CDT)

Welcome to Battlestar Wiki!

Welcome to the Wiki, Vidiot. Feel free to tell us about yourself on your user page. Before you get started on other edits, please read the Standards and Conventions, which details the policies we use in editing pages (this differs from many other wikis in its particular use of verb tense, abbreviations, formatting, and the like). If you need help in learning how to use the MediaWiki tools supported here, you can check out the tutorial and the wiki markup code pages for assistance.

Please read the articles "What is Battlestar Wiki" and "What Battlestar Wiki is Not." This important information details what contributions are acceptable in this encyclopedia.

We encourage you to participate in any projects on Battlestar Wiki, which work to enhance a particular subject or extension of the wiki. These include the Original Series Article Development Project and several language translations of Battlestar Wiki. If you have a new idea for a new project, visit the Think Tank, where we hash out large-scale ideas before implementing them.

Also, if you have any questions or suggestions you wish to offer, please feel free to do so either on an article's talk page that's relevant to the subject, the Wikipedian Quorum or the Administrators' noticeboard. Remember to sign your posts on any talk pages using four tildes (~~~~)!

We look forward to your contributions to the community! --Shane (T - C - E) 14:45, 25 February 2007 (CST)

Nothing against you...

Except we can't determine where she will be until tonight. Shane (T - C - E) 11:47, 25 March 2007 (CDT)

We've been in contact before, and I told you then that posting survivor counts before airing isn't a big deal. Your addition to Crossroads, Part II, however, was a spoiler, that's probably why Shane removed it. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 12:33, 25 March 2007 (CDT)
Shane: I know exactly when she appears: 51 seconds before the end of the final act. I know exactly how she appears. Her credit is the first one given in the closing credits. I know all this because I watched the episode, starting a little after 10am CT, this morning. Catrope: Yes, it is a spoiler and if I remember reading correctly, the episode pages have a warning that says that they may contain spoilers. Both: The photo that is posted with the episode is also a very big spoiler, as it occurs right near the end of the episode. It plays very big as part in the season ending cliffhanger. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vidiot (talk • contribs).
How could you have seen it? Anyway, besides the fact, generally we still report fact finding and since a majority of us can not see the episode (section 1.3: All spoiler information must have a source, whether in the form of a URL or a printed publication text, on the talk page of the spoilerific article. For printed publication text, a copy must be scanned and uploaded to the wiki in the form of a JPG or PNG, and posted on the talk page of the article containing the spoilerific content.), there is no way for us to do a fact check. I understand the spoilers as I have to be spoiled just to make sure I know what is. Shane (T - C - E) 13:27, 25 March 2007 (CDT)
If you have somehow seen an advanced copy and post spoilers from that, that's still a wholly different dimension than quoting something that everyone can see and check. For example information from an interview with a writer. --Serenity 13:30, 25 March 2007 (CDT)

Shane/Serenity: You could call it an advance copy. It was the satellite feed of the episode to Canada. I first captured it on the computer (can't capture and watch at the same time on the computer, though I could have watched at the same time using a different satellite receiver) and then watched the episode.
For proof, I can make available images of the official tape slate, an image of Starbuck and an image of the screen credit. I can even make available audio of the conversation between Lee and Starbuck. That is an even bigger spoiler. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vidiot (talk • contribs).

Is it really so important to get that info out there a mere day sooner? Why can't you just wait a day until everyone has seen it? And please sign your comments on talk pages, like this: --~~~~ --Serenity 14:05, 25 March 2007 (CDT)
Serenity: Not really. I was going to put in ALL of the credits for the episode. Other than Starbuck's, there aren't any other names that are different from the first part (that I can think of). Since Sci-Fi (which I haven't watched since they joined the idiots by placing those damn sprites on the screen) squishes (or whatever) the credits so you can't read them, I was going to post them from the screen images I can read.
Still learning the wiki ropes. The system could easily, i.e., automatically, add the signage since the system knows who is doing the posting. So I don't why a person has to do it. Vidiot 14:15, 25 March 2007 (CDT)
Only comments on talk pages are signed. Edits to articles mustn't be. The software would have to distinguish between the two. Moreover, you don't need to sign all your edits on talk pages either, for example when make corrections to an existing comment. So automatically adding a signature to all edits, even just on talk pages, isn't good. --Serenity 14:20, 25 March 2007 (CDT)
