This page serves to coordinate discussion on a particular aspect of this Wiki. The formal recommendations of a project may be treated as policies.

This noticeboard is a location to discuss and coordinate administrative tasks for the Battlestar Wiki.

It is our hope that this place can serve as a location for administrators to coordinate their efforts on the maintenance tasks of the Wiki (it's not ALL fun and games), as well as a spot for our contributors to be able to bring things to the attention of the admins if something needs to be done. Need a protected page edited? An article or picture deleted? Admins will watchlist this page so that your request won't get lost in the shuffle.

Senior chiefs are, in Wikipedia's terminology, bureaucrats who have the ability to make other users into chiefs. They also have the ability to check user and other advance functions not under the purview of the chiefs. Currently senior chiefs are:

Request For Article Deletion

Hello, I hope this is the correct page to ask for such things. I have done a lot of editing on the BSG: Deadlock articles and I have taken note that there was a duplicate article created (possibly my mistake) Please can I request that this (assault raptor) article be deleted? Improperly Archived Talk Pages

I'm seeing a lot of archived pages in the Talk namespace with "/Archive 1" appended to their names, where the corresponding unprefixed Talk page does not exist. It looks like someone mass-archived talk pages and neglected to create new talk pages or an archive index. I suggest that we move these pages back to their unprefixed titles, with a bot or mass edit tool if possible. --April Arcus (talk) 19:59, 12 April 2020 (PDT)

This was caused by the initial deployment of the StructuredDiscussions extension. It should've provided a link the "archive" from the main "talk" page, but it didn't deploy that. I'm seeing about a means to rectify that. -- Joe Beaudoin ^{So say we all - Donate} 14:17, 13 April 2020 (PDT)

-:He's been translating a lot of stuff lately, so provided he's got the necessities (like [[BW:SAC]] and friends) covered, I support creating a Malay wiki. On a technical note: the translated wikis we currently have use English names for the Portal and Quotes namespaces. It's possible (and actually quite easy) to translate those namespaces names as well. The namespace of a page is stored as a number in the database(0 though 15 for the standard namespaces, 100 and above for custom ones), and you're just changing the text associated to that number. -The current podcast situation leaves us playing catch up (whenever the first three are released). Thankfully, I've located a potential [http://forums.scifi.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=681054&view=findpost&p=5144602 volunteer] for transcribing the third episode, and I'm definitely interested in doing "Six of One". Would anybody like to step up and take on "He That Believeth in Me"?  That way we'd have the first three episodes going in parallel, which ought to get us caught up in short order. Speaking of ketchup, if anybody has a chance, there are an inordinate amount of acts that need to be verified over at [[BW:POD]]. Verifying the acts is a far less painful act than the transcription process, and any help on that is appreciated.
