I would like to see some discussion of the problems with the current bios before agreeing to this move. Can anyone provide some examples? --Elach 01:41, 16 August 2006 (CDT)
- My biggest qualm is vastly different feel from article to article. Look at Lorne Greene and Tricia Helfer for example. It'd be nice to have standardized sections and content. --Steelviper 07:48, 16 August 2006 (CDT)
- Once the proposal passes, all the problems and solutions that people have can be discussed on the appropriate project/policy page. As SV pointed out, the aspect that troubled me in regards to the biographies we presently have is that there is no universal standard amongst them in terms of format and what content should be included (and even what sources we should use!). Thus this proposal. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 09:50, 16 August 2006 (CDT)
- Idea: Once we've got all the S's and C's worked out for these, we could coordinate their implementation through the Cast and Crew project, identifying pages that have (and have not) yet had those standards applied. --Steelviper 14:33, 16 August 2006 (CDT)
- Support - Joe said it all. --FrankieG 17:40, 11 August 2006 (CDT)
- Support - As well. To many differences. --Shane (T - C - E) 20:52, 11 August 2006 (CDT)
- Support - Standardization == good. --Steelviper 09:29, 12 August 2006 (CDT)
- Support - Standardization allows a contributor to know what data is expected to appear on a bio as well as defining its format. --Spencerian 10:15, 16 August 2006 (CDT)
I'm giving this vote until Friday, the 18th. If there are no objections at that point, then we'll make this happen. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 22:23, 15 August 2006 (CDT)
