WHat's this mean? Repeatedly cutting back and frother between two concurrent scenes? IN other words, is this a reference to the "Assasination Planning Scene" in Ressurection Ship pt.1? If so, I know we've seen this a few times before as well. I just can't recall which episode(s). --[[User:Day|Day]] 03:22, 7 January 2006 (EST) |

I see no valid reason to delete this page. — Lestatdelc 21:21, 4 December 2005 (EST)
Have a little fun, Ricimer. --Peter Farago 23:58, 4 December 2005 (EST)
Yeah, man. I quite enjoyed the examples of Helo being an idiot. The only beef I'd give any creedence to would be if someone else had an equally valid, but mutually exclusive Battlestar Galactica Drinking Game, then I'd say we should call this one "A Battlestar Galactica Drinking Game" or just make a page called "Battlestar Galactica Drinking Games". However, that's not a concern, yet, is it? And it's not as if the only purpose of this list of things is to promote alcoholism or drunkeness... This is a tongue-in-cheek way of noting the over-used elements in Battlestar. It might even be considered, gasp, thoughtful. --Day 00:17, 5 December 2005 (EST)
I said no. I am putting my foot down. The Toaster page was bad enough. This page should be deleted. It's place is not here. Joe, please chime in on this one. --Ricimer 02:05, 5 December 2005 (EST)
I need to think about it before making a definite decision...I thought about it and the page, despite its present humor, is actually a valid article on recurring plot points and issues in BSG. -- Joe Beaudoin 11:28, 5 December 2005 (EST)
- To comment more seriously: I enjoy the fact that we don't have to be deathly serious here all the time, and have a few places to blow off a little steam. These areas are all well-segregated from the main content of the wikI. I'm sorry that the very existence of these pages seems to trouble Ricimer so deeply, but I must point out that users who do not find them amusing are entirely free to ignore them. --Peter Farago 03:04, 5 December 2005 (EST)
- While some of the items are a tad off-color, they aren't vile or patently offensive. (If the subject matter was truly offensive, it would not have even aired). We can still use a little levity, so long as its properly segregated in the Silly Pages category. I would like the "source" of this game, however, even if its just an internet link. I, for one, think its suitably funny. I second Peter on this. --Spencerian 08:49, 5 December 2005 (EST)
- I think it's suitably funny as a piece of trivia arrising out of the BSG fandom. Perhaps we could start a section on non-canonical trivia, in order to keep things in their right place. I know there are the "silly" pages but the drinking game is something created by fans outside of the wiki, not unlike fanfiction and 3D meshes. --Mason 09:58, 5 December 2005 (EST)
- I just reread it again and tears came from my eyes when I hit the Helo stuff. ("Territory issues..." HAH!) It's not just the old "Hi, Bob" drinking game of The Bob Newhart Show working here; Mason hit it on the nose that this does point out what few elemental contrivances in the show are getting a bit overused. This is a good place for us to point these out, as I just did. If nothing else, we can rename this to "Overused Character and Plot Elements" (with the current article name as the subtitle). --Spencerian 10:20, 5 December 2005 (EST)
- There is no source, FYI. This was just me. --Peter Farago 12:04, 5 December 2005 (EST)

- Okie-dokie. We can credit Peter and perhaps Jack (Daniels) or Old Grandad for the interesting article... :) You can blame me and Starbuck (the coffee, not the pilot) for my contributions. --Spencerian 13:55, 5 December 2005 (EST)
- I like what Mason said --Ricimer 12:53, 5 December 2005 (EST)
We should retitle this, "Col. Tigh's Battlestar Galactica Drinking Game". Philwelch 18:10, 9 December 2005 (EST)
- Indeed. But I find it a bit daunting. I suspect I would die if I followed every rule to the letter. -- Cmr
Can we add to this? One that I'd like to include is "Billy and Dee stare at each other like two teenagers but never actually do anything." --Ltcrashdown 20:24, 1 January 2006 (EST)
