The Re-imagined Battlestar Galactica shoots on several soundstages in Vancouver, British Columbia. One set, housed in Studio 1, includes Adama's Quarters, an airlock, several multipurpose rooms, and many hallways. Another set was purchased from a failed television pilot, Lost In Space, in the first season. It was later converted to become the battlestar Pegasus. Much of the sets are constructed from simple 1x3s and plywood.

The Miniseries was shot in a larger studio which housed everything on one soundstage. This made it possible to follow Kara Thrace in one take from outside the CIC to the hangar deck. After the series went into regular production, it moved to a smaller studio and the hangar deck set is now housed on a seperate soundstage.
