I know, but I'm webmaster of Terry Carter's, Anne Lockhart's and Noah Hathaway's official site (and even Felix Silla's, Maren Jensen's and Herb Jefferson's but I haven't written biographies for them yet), plus me or my friend Mike wrote this ourselves. Mike and I are building a Galactica site for all series where we'll publish all our interviews. We're in contact with 150+ cast and crew of the orignal 1978 series. I'm good friends with most of the main cast (hence the fact I'm doing their websites). Some even stayed at my home. Of Galactica 1980 I'm in good contact with Robyn Douglass (Jamie Hamilton) by e-mail and she has family here in the Netherlands as well. I'm working on my contacts in the Galactica 2003 series, but the new gang is very different. Younger, life in the fast lane (always busy!), millions of fans and therefor far more private and herder to reach. But I do have good contact with some. We're e-mailing and calling with Aaron Douglass and just interviewed him 1.5 hours over the phone for our new website. Next week we're interviewing several others (Kandyse McClure, Nicki Clyne). I do appreciate websites like these very much. They're a good source of information (which is growing and not dead like most Galactica sites!), just like our website will be of course. I don't see it as competition, we're focussing very much on the people involved in all series and publishing interviews we did, it will be completely different. Some of the gueststars we've interviewed of the original 1978 series never told their Galactica adventure before to anyone. We think fans will be interested to hear/read this. Wouldn't you like to know how it was to work with Fred Astaire? Or what the Borellian Nomen are up to nowadays? Well, we know! :) --MAD 04:56, 25 July 2006 (CDT)

Adding some minor pieces in the past was easy, because the page was already there. But starting from scratch... this Wiki is completely different from normal webdesign and I have to get used to it. Even something as easy as "italic" you have to add later because it doesn't pick it up from a Word file. And all this internal and external linking I also haven't figured yet. I did look how to add an image, but gave up. I still have to design a couple of more webpages and I'm trying to figure out designing in Joomla for my own site as well (plus I do have a normal dayjob and family). The harddisc in my head is a bit full right now. :) I truely will try to make an effort to add some stuff and devide by headers, but I'm too busy to figure out all there is to Wiki. Maybe later... But that's the great thing about this site/program, isn't it? What you leave open others can pick up. ;) --MAD 09:58, 25 July 2006 (CDT)

:Yes, all the info I always add is written by me. == Geboortedatum Leah Cairns ==
--Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 09:25, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
--Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 10:14, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
:::Gee whiz, I wish there was a program that could handle that. We briefly experimented with piping the podcasts through speech recognition software (Dragon Naturally Speaking being the most established one), but the biggest obstacle was the lack of a "baseline" sample of RDM doing the "training" phrases the program needs to calibrate itself. I imagine even if we got that going there'd still be a lot of manual corrections anyway, but if somebody could figure that out I know that I'd be personally very grateful. (At least there is only one more season of podcasts remaining to transcribe.) --Steelviper 11:21, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
::::The bonus podcast for "The Son Also Rises" is still missing...and it's referenced in a few articles. --Serenity 11:27, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
:::::Yep. Not only a multi-person podcast (by far the hardest), but also no RDM (who I've got the best "feel" for having transcribed a few that he's in). It all adds up to me not being too motivated to transcribe it. (Honestly, that and the fact that there's a huge stack of unverified transcripts anyway). If you REALLY wanted the cites, I'd be happy to transcribe the cited material if you can assemble the timestamps and what references need transcribing. ==Steelviper 12:14, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
::::::It's not just TSAR bonus, but also CR1 bonus, CR2 bonus, A Day in the Life Bonus (first 10 mins done, plus it's only three people of which one is RDM) and Frak Party Q&A (half-done). Personally, I think the Frak Party podcast is the most valuable one, but I can't seem to get myself to transcribing lately. Maybe when I have more time :P. BTW, MAD, good luck on getting Leah to Scheveningen, and if anything notable happens or is said there, please let us know ;) --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 15:54, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
::::::Nah, don't bother. It would be nice of course, but it's not so important that we need at any cost. Some of the references have timestamps, so people can check it out if they have the file. --Serenity 16:00, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
:::::::I've heard Wondiws Vista has voice transcribing. Did any of you ever treid that? I tried Dragon, but it didn't even transcribed my voice well, even after reading the long learning sessions. I had hoped it would have at least picked up my voice and did the other voice badly, but this didn't work either. I'd love to find a tool to do the transcribing though. I now type like 15-20 hours on each interview I do. I have heard the most fantastic stories from cast and crew but I simply can't find the time to type it all out (or find a person cleaning up the audio and make a decent podcast out of it). I did try though. I get many people who'd love to join my crew and work on the interview. Sure, talking to the actors and doing the fun stuff! But when it comes to typing out I always find them backing out. It takes them months to get less thsan half finished and in the end I often decide to pick it up and finish it. And they wonder why I don't help others in getting interviews for us! I have so many contacts, I can talk to just about anybody on the cast or crew, but I simply don't have the time to work it all out in publishable interviews. The other day we did Edward Olmos. Since Olmos wanted to call in with his cell phone I had to give it up to an American. The guy swore he'd work on it and really do his best. First of all he butchered the interview and was so starstruck and overruled by Olmos he lost half of the good stuff and second he came with excuse after excuse why he couldn't transcribe it. If you have Olmos on tape for an hour, you defintely want to publish it straight away. In the end I worked nights to get it done. Never heard from the guy again, while he promised to make us podcast and do audio for us (he did 2 or 3, got Olmos and never heard from him again). It's really sad. I know it's a shitty job, but now I end up doing all, so if there's some program, I'd love to know about it. --MAD 16:30, 11 September 2007 (CDT)

Welcome to the Wiki, MAD. Feel free to tell us about yourself on your user page. Before you get started on other edits, please read the Battlestar Wiki:Standards and Conventions, which details the policies we use in editing pages (this differs from many other wikis in consistent use of phrasing, abbreviations, format, and the like).

Also, if you have any questions or suggestions you wish to offer, please feel free to do so either on your user talk page, the Wikipedian Quorum or Administrators' noticeboard. Remember to sign your posts on any talk pages using four tildes (~~~~)! We look forward to your contributions to the community! --Shane (T - C - E) 11:21, 24 July 2006 (CDT)

Anne Lockhart[edit]

Nice additions to the Anne Lockhart page. Are you a big fan to know all that information? --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 11:35, 24 July 2006 (CDT)

I'm webmaster of Anne Lockhart's official website. I just copied the biography I typed there. I can do the same for Terry Carter and Noah Hathaway. I don't have any Wiki knowledge, I barely know how to copy/paste stuff within Wiki. I'll leave it up to others to add the right Wiki links/tags in my text. --MAD 12:29, 24 July 2006 (CDT)

Roger that. Filenames are a bit harder. I havn't developed a script to do that. I been meaning to code that. :-) Shane (T - C - E) 08:24, 25 January 2007 (CST)
Could we copy all to a new page with the correct name and delete the other then? --MAD 08:27, 25 January 2007 (CST)
The article has been moved to the correct name. Shane is talking about the filename of the image file, which is still wrong, but all the links to that article and the the actual article should now all point to Alastair Thorne now. --Steelviper 08:37, 25 January 2007 (CST)
Great! Nobody reads the filename of the image anyway, the image says it all. :) --MAD 08:41, 25 January 2007 (CST)

Geboortedatum Leah Cairns[edit]

--Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 09:25, 11 September 2007 (CDT)

--Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 10:14, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
Gee whiz, I wish there was a program that could handle that.
The bonus podcast for "The Son Also Rises" is still missing...and it's referenced in a few articles. --Serenity 11:27, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
Yep.
It's not just TSAR bonus, but also CR1 bonus, CR2 bonus, A Day in the Life Bonus (first 10 mins done, plus it's only three people of which one is RDM) and Frak Party Q&A (half-done).
Nah, don't bother. It would be nice of course, but it's not so important that we need at any cost. Some of the references have timestamps, so people can check it out if they have the file. --Serenity 16:00, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
I've heard Wondiws Vista has voice transcribing.

--Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 08:54, 13 March 2008 (CDT)
Cool!
--Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 10:34, 18 March 2008 (CDT)
