I tried hinting at this until now, but please be more concise in the timeline summaries. If you want to write detailed summaries, do it in the episode articles. The timeline article is not the place to write in that much detail. Even cutting it down is technically too long. Look how short the Season 1 and 2 recaps are. Or even early Season 3. People didn't write whole sentences about everything. <br> | I tried hinting at this until now, but please be more concise in the timeline summaries. I wrote a response on the discussion page, but in short, I never said it was equal to terrorism and Cally ultimately was not just talking about the bombing, but the idea that the fleet was being torn apart because of Baltar's trial. Eventually this led to her implying that it must be a cylon that is causing the problems, thus implicating Athena. I just saw her statements as being hypocritical as Adama viewed her and Tyrol's actions of "social decent" amongst the military workers as tantamount to treason and worthy of execution. It was very clear, at least within military circles, social decent can be deadly. Her critical position of viper maintenance and then her self-righteous statements has made her actions to me quite hypocritical and idiotic. Anyhows, I'll see how I can take the edge of that section, but overall, that's the idea I wanted to communicate, not say that terrorism and social decent is the same. --LifeStar 12:43, 12 March 2007 (CDT)

To answer your question, we only do the act-by-act sectioning if there aren't two or more distinct story lines in the show. Last week's episode, "The Road Less Traveled", had two story-lines, with one on Galactica and the other on Demetrius; "Escape Velocity" was set solely on Galactica, with a half-minute scene on Demetrius, and so that episode warranted the act-by-act sectioning. See this for the guideline pertaining to this. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 21:06, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

I like your additions of the podcast statements in "Disquiet". You know, if you're interested, you could transcribe the statements that you cited into a Podcast transcript and I could show you how to add podcast citations that'll take the reader straight to that place in the transcript. You wouldn't need to transcribe the whole podcast (if you didn't want to), but every line/sentence helps whenever somebody (usually me) ends up going through the whole transcription. Drop me a note if that sounds interesting. --Steelviper 16:19, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
:First, sorry for taking so long to answer. I was busy in USENET groups and other Wikis. I thank you for your compliments and your appreciation, but I have to turn you down. I don't have the time to do it, at least not in the case of it being an expectation from me on a regular basis. Because of other interest, I have to keep it a casual thing, doing it when I can and not doing it when I can't. Again, thank you for asking! It is nice to have someone appreciating what one does. Welcome to the Wiki. Feel free to tell us about yourself on your user page. Also read the Battlestar Wiki:Standards and Conventions project article, which details the policies we use in editing pages (this differs from many other wikis in consistent use of phrasing, abbreviations, format, and the like). --Spencerian 14:32, 22 January 2006 (EST)
Recent Rollback
Hunter2005, I felt it necessary to roll back your last contribution to the article, Cylon agent. There is no aired information I can recall that supports your speculation about apparent age and downloading pain, and we truly do not know the cause of the pain that the Cavils have in relation to other models that may have had more or fewer downloads. Please see the policy on unsupported speculation for more on why I believed the contribution was not germane. If you have a specific aired source or reference, please readd the comment but note the source as a footnote. --Spencerian 07:12, 11 December 2006 (CST)
- I just saw this is why I took so long to respond. Spencerian, perhaps at the time it was speculation, and it was, but I never meant for it to be purported as a fact. I did qualify it. I do think that since the Cavils are the oldest appearing model and since one of the units of that model was the only one thus far to complain of the increasing pain of resurrection it is a reasonable possibility that it is age related. The one on New Caprica on Colonial One said that after the third time downloading it "..felt like a red hot poker in his brain" IIRC, I think it is a reasonable leap to say that perhaps it is age related. In the interim since that scene and since you have removed my speculation, we have learned that D'anna Biers (and I believe it was the reporter from "Final Cut" and not any old Three) has been repeatedly "killing" and downloading herself, well past the three times that that "red hot poker" pain that Cavil unit suffered supposed to have kicked in I would surmise. D'anna has never once complained about the pain (beyond that of the normal resurrection process that is) despite almost certainly beyond the three that New Caprica Cavil had, leading me to to think that the pain that Cavil unit felt is probably unique perhaps to not only that particular unit, but that model which if we use the actual age of the actor who plays them, Dean Stockwell, mimics a man in is late 60's early 70's. In contrast the three models which Lucy Lawless plays seem to mimic a human woman in her mid 30's to early 40's. Lucy Lawless is 38, so there is apparently, an approximately a thirty year difference in age. Whether the Cylons built in the effects of age into the Cavils is speculation, but Dr. Cottle did rue the fact that the Cylons didn't improve the plumbing while trying to save Sharon's baby opens the door that they followed the blueprint of mankind too closely. Or maybe they did so for deliberate reasons, since the degeneration of life is the natural order, and Cylons seem to want to be part of the natural order, they built in age in the models that are apparently old. Hunter2005 22:18, 19 December 2006 (CST)
- RDM said (in Podcast:Exodus, Part I):
- "I also like- this was like an interesting little touch. Just to start implying that the more they download, the less pleasant it becomes. And that there's a sense of, like, pain. And that there's a sense of losing something. That each t- that these downloads are not just so free and easy for them. That they pay a little bit of a price in that doing it multiple times would start have an impact on them as people. That- 'cause I just figure you can't experience death over and over again without it, in fact, impacting you in some way."
- So I don't think it was really an age thing so much as them trying to convey a price for repeated downloads (and Cavil just happened to take the hit). They seem to have backed off of this idea, in part, I'd bet, due to the fact that the D'anna model would be on her little suicide vision quest and they probably didn't want it to seem any more masochistic than it already was. --Steelviper 07:28, 20 December 2006 (CST)
- Thanks, SV. No problem on the reply time, Hunter. Apparent age is irrelevant, it seems, but temperment might not be. The Cavils revel in the pain of others, so they might get what they give. I don't know about the Threes. There's something to your original comment, at least, although, based on RDM's comment, it might need generalization. Don't let me dissuade you from restating it, although you might want to use the Resurrection (RDM) article for the best fit. --Spencerian 07:36, 20 December 2006 (CST)
Details in Timeline summaries
I'm sorry, and I should probably have said something here the last time I concised your "The Woman King" edit, but that article is not for such extremely detailed summaries. Even some of the older summaries are too detailed and yours go way beyond even that. It's just unnecessary for the purpose of the article and makes it way too long --Serenity 03:48, 20 February 2007 (CST)

Article tense
As per Standards and Conventions most articles are written in the present tense and not the past tense. Past tense is generally only used for events prior to the Miniseries. --Serenity 07:14, 21 February 2007 (CST)
Rollback to History of the Twelve Colonies
The reason why there was a link to the Pegasus episode page was because the sentence about the battlestars is referencing the episode and not meant to link to the page about the actual battlestar type. Thats why it was in brackets (Pegasus) --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 19:50, 23 February 2007 (CST)

Response to your comment in the discussion of The Son...
