The Ovion Wars are a yahrens-long conflict between the Ovions and the Colonial Empire.

Heavy losses from the Colonial Empire lead to Professor Baltar's creation of the Cylonics, which turned the tide in the war to the Colonial's favor (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1).

During this war, it was rumored that the Ovions used captured Warriors as a food source (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 3).[1]

Battle of Carillion[edit]

For the battle depicted in the Original Series, see: Battle of Carillon.

The Battle of Carillion is the name given to the decisive final battle that resulted in the destruction of Carillion, forcing the surviving Ovions and their leader, Queen Lotay, underground—a fact unknown to the Colonials for a time (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 3).

Following the battle, Baltar's prosthetics are put to use in saving the lives of many Colonial Warriors who would have not otherwise survived that attack. However, when Baltar makes his power play against the Quorum, he is exiled for not only that action but for also exceeding his orders regarding the attack at Carillion. He absconds with Lu-c-fer and the Cylonics, and plots his attack against the Colonies utilizing the very Warriors the Quorum exiled out of fear that they were under Baltar's control (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1-3).
