::You know, I perpetually think that Apollo is 28-29ish, in which case "roughy 20 years ago flashback" could have meant that he could have still had Apollo: I mean I took it to be "anywhere between 30 to 40 years ago".  However, according to IMDB Bamber is 36.  Then it would appear that he was married to Caroline first, they were divorced for years, and Anne was his second wife, whom he may also have later divorced (and just kept wearing the ring).  I dunno.  I always thought that the agony over Zak's death caused Caroline and Adama to get divorced, but now it seems to extend further back.  --The Merovingian (C - E) 22:54, 10 April 2006 (CDT)

Detailed Source and Verification Needed

I haven't found this source; we have been of the impression that it was Carolyn that aided Bill, not another person. This footage is not captioned, I think, so we need to verify this character before we leave it here, taken as granted. Did Adama say that she was his wife? There is also the matter of characters (as opposed to events) that are considered as canon when found from a deleted scene. --Spencerian 14:48, 10 December 2005 (EST)

I found the deleted scene, so the ring that Adama wears at the time of the Mini-Series is probably for Anne, not Caroline, although from a canonical POV, I don't know if or how to incorporate this. We may need a way to mark information that was created as part of the official aired broadcast, but was cut so we don't confuse aired canon from nice, but unofficial background. --Spencerian 14:55, 10 December 2005 (EST)
The relevant scene made it into the final cut. It's toward the end of the episode. Here's the dialog:
Tigh: Ha! Yes! He's in. The kid is back in the fleet. So, let's have the truth. How did you do it? How'd you get off this frakkin' freighter?
Adama: Connections. Anne's father has a friend o n the defense subcommittee.
Tigh: So the new wife comes through. Wish I had in-laws with pull.
Adama: Gimme a couple of years. I'll have some pull. You watch me. I'll have my own battlestar one day.

First Wife

It appears that William Adama was married to Anne first, then Caroline Adama. Caroline is the mother of Zak and Lee; we know this. We also know that Adama was married to Caroline maybe 2 years ago, but then after Zak's death things broke apart. Regardless, there's *forty* years worth of time between when the Cylon War ends and when the series begins: Lee is eldest and is in his late 20's. It is entirely conceivable that Adama could have married Anne, divorced, then met Caroline and had Lee. --Ricimer 22:05, 10 December 2005 (EST)

No, it's not, because RDM has told us that the flashbacks take place c. 20 years ago, which would mean that if Adama married Caroline after Anne, Lee would be about 15. --April Arcus 00:35, 11 December 2005 (EST)
"The episode in script form actually picked up- er- opened with an opening scene in a bar on Caprica twenty years ago…" "Scattered" podcast, Teaser
You know, I perpetually think that Apollo is 28-29ish, in which case "roughy 20 years ago flashback" could have meant that he could have still had Apollo: I mean I took it to be "anywhere between 30 to 40 years ago".
Right. We also have this image to go by, which suggests that Adama was still in the fleet when Lee was eight or so, which should've been a couple years before the "Scattered" flashbacks. Apparently Caroline and Bill's marriage ended around the same time that he was kicked out of the fleet. --April Arcus 23:05, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
Lee and Jamie don't have to be the same age. And isn't it conceivable that the picture is from after the Scattered flashbacks, since there's only so much they could do to make Adama and Tigh look younger and they wouldn't want to use other, unfamiliar actors. Not saying I believe that's the case, just raising the question. Noneofyourbusiness 11:06, 14 July 2006 (CDT)
