Welcome to Battlestar Wiki![edit]
Welcome to the Wiki, RUSnooky. Feel free to tell us about yourself on your user page. Before you get started on other edits, please read the Standards and Conventions, which details the policies we use in editing pages (this differs from many other wikis in its particular use of verb tense, abbreviations, formatting, and the like). If you need help in learning how to use the MediaWiki tools supported here, you can check out the tutorial and the wiki markup code pages for assistance.
Please read the articles "What is Battlestar Wiki" and "What Battlestar Wiki is Not." This important information details what contributions are acceptable in this encyclopedia.
We encourage you to participate in any projects on Battlestar Wiki, which work to enhance a particular subject or extension of the wiki. These include the Original Series Article Development Project and several language translations of Battlestar Wiki. If you have a new idea for a new project, visit the Think Tank, where we hash out large-scale ideas before implementing them.
Also, if you have any questions or suggestions you wish to offer, please feel free to do so either on an article's talk page that's relevant to the subject, the Wikipedian Quorum or the Administrators' noticeboard. Remember to sign your posts on any talk pages using four tildes (~~~~)!
We look forward to your contributions to the community! --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 09:44, 25 January 2007 (CST)
HELP! I need somebody, HELP, Not just Anybody[edit]
Ok I need help. I was going to create a page (not sure what to call it yet), as requested here:[1] and begin work, but I don't know how to start a brand new pages (DAMN NEWBIES!). Can one of you fancy Order of the sponge/mop/squeegee types help me (I'd like to make a newbie club called the Order of the Broom). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by RUSnooky (talk • contribs).
- Do you mean move the page to this name: Galactica crew facilities? Also check out the tutorial and markup page for help on using the wiki. :) Shane (T - C - E) 21:03, 8 June 2007 (CDT)
- Additionally, you need to have a name for the article before you can begin work on it. (Even if it's temporary, you can get someone with move permissions to move it to a new name later.) To start this, simply enter the name of your article in the "Search" box, and press "Go". Then you can click on "create this page", which will get you to the edit field, where you may begin editing. A tutorial is available should you need it. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 21:04, 8 June 2007 (CDT)
Welcome Wagon[edit]
So have I become the unofficial welcome wagon for new users? I'm sure everyone else has a lot more welcomes than me, but I've done a lot in the last couple of days :)--RUSnooky 18:24, 17 July 2007 (CDT)
- You just have a fast response: your most recent welcome was only 3 minutes after the moment of registration, which is quite impressive. BTW, when welcoming, please use {{subst:welcome}} rather than {{welcome}}. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 14:48, 18 July 2007 (CDT)
- That's probably my fault, for telling him to use the main template :s --Serenity 14:51, 18 July 2007 (CDT)
