Edit Summaries on Talk Page

You don't necessarily have to justify your edits on the talk page of the article, especially if you fill out something descriptive in the edit summaries as you go. However, if you haven't left edit summaries, or if you've made some changes you might think will spark discussion, then by all means leave a note on the talk. Usually, though, for minor spelling I just put "minor sp" on the edit summary (or "typo", or whatever), mark it as a minor edit, and roll on.

Nice work, though, and thanks for taking a second to explain what you're working on. --Steelviper 11:28, 8 September 2006 (CDT)

Well, I know I don't need to, but it's one of my little quirks. I have very low grade OCD, and that's just one of the ways it manifests itself --BklynBruzer 22:01, 8 September 2006 (CDT)

My edits

Wow, uh, I just counted, and I've been a member for maybe 2 months, but I already have over 160 edits! (Not trying to pat myself on the back here) --BklynBruzer 13:01, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

If you counted "manually", in the future you might use this instead. Be sure to innoculate yourself against editcountitis though. It's highly contagious... --Steelviper 13:15, 3 October 2006 (CDT)
Thanks for the link. I didn't know that existed. Also I have it bookmarked now. :) And I'm going to make sure to innoculate myself against editcountitis. --BklynBruzer 13:35, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

My RFA

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed with a tally of 7/0/0. I can't express how much it means to me to become an administrator. I'll work even more and harder to become useful for the community. If you need a helping hand, don't hesitate to contact me. Shane (T - C - E) 20:38, 8 October 2006 (CDT)

No need to thank me, you deserve it! :) --BklynBruzer 19:29, 11 October 2006 (CDT)

Drinking Game

Hi, I just saw you updated the Drinking game. Nice, I love watching people add and make that thing better. One thing, though, is that I think the Dr. Cottle one was better beforehand. Yes, Dr. Cottle is sarcastic, to most of his patients, but the reason that his being witty/annoying towards Starbuck, etc. weren't included on the drinking game is because of the military nature of the show. He is Major Cottle, after all, and outranks everyone save both Adamas, Col Tigh, Baltar (?), and the President. He can be a jerk and make fun of people he outranks and it isn't too terrible of an occurance...unprofessional, yes, but not something that would get you in serious trouble immediately. When he countermands the wishes or insults of someone he outranks, thou, and always to their faces, that is something practically unheard of in military settings, and, thus, especially funny. Would you consider changing it back, please? Great work, elsewise. - Keithustus 18:59, 26 October 2006 (CDT)

Done and done. Looking back, you're quite right. Also, check out the note on the bottom of my user page. You'll probably like what it says. --BklynBruzer 19:14, 26 October 2006 (CDT)

Linking Cats

To link cats, type [[:Category:Silly Pages]]. Notice the first :, tell it to be a link instead of a translude. :-) --Shane (T - C - E) 00:39, 27 October 2006 (CDT)
Thanks, man! --BklynBruzer 14:20, 27 October 2006 (CDT)

Rank

Unless you're going for some sort of play on words (one that's going over my head) then your rank has a minor typo. Diety -> Deity. --Steelviper 11:32, 11 January 2007 (CST)

Thanks for that, man. I hadn't even noticed that typo! --BklynBruzer 13:39, 12 January 2007 (CST)

Re: Rock

I saw your note over at User:Noneofyourbusiness's talk page. I wouldn't waste your time, friend. His comments on music remind me of my old music theory teacher ("The Beatles aren't musicians!") and of an old ex-girlfriend of mine ("I'm a classically trained vocalist! How dare they say that SHE is a better singer than ME!") ... to people of that ilk, popular music can't possibly be worth anything. I call it elitism and pretentiousness, but hey, to each his own. JubalHarshaw 10:14, 9 April 2007 (CDT)

I know I can't win, but it's fun pissing off pretentious snobs :D --BklynBruzer 15:41, 9 April 2007 (CDT)

You are among the Trusted

Per your page move request and policy qualifications, you are now among the Trusted Users of the Sponge. Use your powers wisely. Maybe someday you'll become a member of the Order of the Mop or Squeegee. :) --Spencerian 17:09, 9 April 2007 (CDT)

BklynBruzer, Trusted One. Got a nice ring to it. Thanks :) Also, the Order of the Mop has long been a target of mine. --BklynBruzer 18:29, 9 April 2007 (CDT)

TOS template additions

Please mark those kinds of edits as minor, that's what we have the "This is a minor edit" checkbox for. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 07:14, 18 April 2007 (CDT)

Gah, sorry, I was doing so many so late at night I completely forgot the minor thing. --BklynBruzer 07:15, 18 April 2007 (CDT)

My RFA

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed with a tally of 7/0/0. Thank you very much for your support. And I'm glad you like my taste in music. :) I'll continue to keep up the good work, and if I can help you with anything, don't hesitate to contact me. JubalHarshaw 15:57, 21 April 2007 (CDT)
Man don't thank me, you deserve it. --BklynBruzer 16:04, 21 April 2007 (CDT)
