Recon

Recon is shorthand for "reconnaissance," and used throughout both the Original and Re-imagined Series.

A variety of crafts use this term in their craft's nomenclature, particularly:

• Recon Viper 1, a craft Starbuck pilots in "The Long Patrol."
• Recon Probe 3, a craft Apollo pilots in "The Lost Warrior."
• Recon Probe Delta, a craft piloted by Briton and Kanon during routine patrols to intercept Cylons who may happen across Earth in "The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I."
