Patti Hayes is an American casting director, production manager, and entertainment coach[1] [2]. She has been involved in the entertainment industry for over 40 years[2]. She was responsible for casting of the Original Series from the episode "The Lost Warrior" onward, taking over for Mark Malis.
Early life and education

Patti Hayes earned an Associate of Arts degree in Drama & Music from Los Angeles City College, specializing in Theater Arts[3].
Hayes has held various significant roles throughout her career in the entertainment industry, with a focus on casting and production.
Her early career included working as a Casting Director at MGM Studios from January 1974 to January 1976, where she worked on various pilots, series, and Movies of the Week (MOWs)[4]. Following this, she worked as a Casting Director and Associate at Universal Studios from January 1977 to January 1980, often working for Glen A. Larson[5]. During her time as a Casting Director at Universal Studios (January 1978 - January 1980), she was "in charge of her shows" and received screen credit for her work[6]. She also served as a Casting & Administrative Associate for Gary Shaffer and Barbara Baldavin (of Star Trek fame) from January 1984 to January 1986, a role in which she states she "did it all" but did not receive screen credit[7].
Since January 1987, Hayes has been an owner providing casting and consulting services for various colleges and companies across the U.S.[8]. She has also served as the COO of Piatt-Hayes Companies, a full-service Entertainment & Communication Holding Company that includes casting services, since 1991[9].
Currently, Hayes operates as a L.A. Entertainment Coach since January 2001[10]. In this role, she coaches individuals on the "business" of show business, with a particular focus on beginners and minors who wish to work both above and below the line[11]. Hayes is a member of Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and her specialties include entertainment law, casting, and research[2].
