Talk:List of Podcasts/Archive 1

Discussion page of List of Podcasts/Archive 1

Cross link

Maybe this should be cross-linked with the transcript project page? --Steelviper 16:56, 16 February 2006 (EST)

There's something in me that doesn't really like the idea of linking to Battlestar Wiki namespace articles and project pages from the text of articles themselves. However, once the podcast transcriptions are more complete, it would be good to have a main-page namespace table-of-contents for them. --April Arcus 19:54, 16 February 2006 (EST)

Isn't this redundant with BW:POD ?

I was under the impression the project page was just until they are completed and then moved to this list? --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 16:35, 10 August 2006 (CDT)
[BW:POD#Transcription Complete]] ?--Shane (T - C - E) 23:13, 10 August 2006 (CDT)
Ask someone involved in the podcast transcribing, its not something ive worked on --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 02:48, 11 August 2006 (CDT)
This was here very early, when BW:POD hadn't really done anything yet. It presented a nice clean list of the podcasts where the transcription project had all the project overhead spread throughout the page. I'm not sure if it is worthwhile to maintain the two separately or not now, though. --Steelviper 07:33, 11 August 2006 (CDT)

I always figured that BW:POD was meant to organize the transcription project, while this page was intended for end-users who weren't interested in the behind-the-scenes activities. --April Arcus 09:01, 11 August 2006 (CDT)

Ditto --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 09:06, 11 August 2006 (CDT)
As Peter said, this is just a list. BW:POD is as project for contributors, which is not really for disinterested end users. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 12:46, 11 August 2006 (CDT)

(Bonus) vs. Bonus

I noticed Catrope's edits regarding the removal of parentheses from the word "bonus" in the bonus podcast links, and would like to offer a comment. The reason why I put them with parentheses is because, when piping the links, it'll actually remove the (Bonus) part from being seen. Also, disambiguating pages is done by putting the disambiguation item in parentheses, like Galactica (TOS) and Galactica (RDM). I just want to see what everyone thinks before I go reverting. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 09:06, 27 May 2007 (CDT)

I understand your argument, but the convention was set with Podcast:A Day in the Life Bonus several months ago, that's why I deferred to that format. I agree that (Bonus) makes more sense, and you're free to switch to that format as far as I'm concerned, but take care to move Podcast:A Day in the Life Bonus and anything that might be linking there. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 14:35, 27 May 2007 (CDT)
Ah, right. Thanks for explaining that! Anyway, I'd like to see what everyone else thinks before we go ahead with any changes. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 19:07, 27 May 2007 (CDT)

Podcasts no longer available

Most of these podcasts are no longer available at the address linked to in the article. The only ones which appear to still be available are the Caprica episodes. Is the full set available anywhere else? Only four were available on "archive.org". All of these are included on the blu-ray discs though? SabreWolfy 09:58, 24 November 2012 (EST)

I believe they are used as commentary tracks for the blu-ray / DVD releases. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 12:26, 24 November 2012 (EST)
