Chella was Table Three's Pyramid dealer on the Rising Star starliner and frequent spectator to the Triad tournaments.

He discovered the well-disliked Flight Sergeant Ortega shot dead between an ajar door. Chella attempted to accuse Starbuck of the crime, saying that the warrior was rushing out of the scene of the crime, and was certainly irritated. (Of course, Starbuck was catching up to meet Cassiopeia before she left on the next transport out.)

Upon information given in the testimonial of Flight Sergeant Barton, defenders Apollo and Boomer visited Chella and discovered that Ortega was blackmailing him.

Chella also revealed that his prior profession was an administrator of Solius and he let people believe that Riftis -- his real name -- was dead. He was to board the freighter Piscon, but missed the transport due to his fears of death at Cylon hands. With 8,000 cubits, he bribed his way on the Rising Star via the Flight Sergeant; the Star being loaded with caretakers and juveniles that could be brought to the Fleet.

Although a suspect, he was later found to be innocent of murdering Ortega, and was relieved that the truth was finally out in the open. He now had some comfort, for he felt responsible for the death of one child -- the child that would have otherwise taken his spot. (Murder on the Rising Star)

Portrayed by Ben Frank.
