Lieutenant "Karma" Baker is a Raptor pilot on stationed aboard battlestar Galactica who, according to Alex "Crashdown" Quartararo, is reputed to be unlucky.
Baker is assigned to fill in for Sharon "Boomer" Valerii after her gunshot injury and pilots Raptor 1 as part of a survey expedition to Kobol. Raptor 1 is shot down by Cylon forces that orbit the planet; a round hits Baker and mortally wounds him in the ensuing interception, forcing Quartararo attempt a crash landing (TRS: "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I").
