When Leon Grimes decides to retaliate against Lee "Apollo" Adama at a Cloud 9 bar, Grimes is joined by a fellow bar patron who fights Kara "Starbuck" Thrace. The fight causes the contents of Valance's briefcase to spill, revealing a ceramic gun that the would-be assassin secreted onto Cloud 9. Thrace overpowers the patron and is able to disarm Valance with his own weapon (TRS: "Colonial Day").
- The bar patron specialist is portrayed by Ernest Jackson, who was identified via computer-aided facial recognition.
