I think it was up at least 2 days ago. I keep checking the site to see if they have put up the BSG soundtrack. In case anyone doesn't know yet: If you pre-order the CD there, you get an autographed copy. At least that was the case with the first two seasons. --Serenity 12:09, 18 September 2007 (CDT)

I'm interested in buying it. Is the theme from Adama's atmo hyperjump when invading New Caprica available? It's pretty much the only reason why I would get this soundtrack.

Its highly likely, its an important piece of music in the show much like how i felt when I first heard Pegasus (2:46) in the episode where we first see it. Theres a few of them now on the site and they take up a lot of room. I was wonderinf if perhaps we should create a template so that they are more easily distinguised from text written by us? Here is an example of what it might look like.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: SEASON THREE SOUNDTRACK TO BE RELEASED BY LA-LA LAND RECORDS ON OCTOBER 23RD Soundtrack includes a new interpretation of the classic "All Along The Watchtower" (October 8, 2007- Burbank, CA) - The soundtrack from the standout third season of the SciFi Channel's critically acclaimed television series, Battlestar Galactica, will be released by La-La Land Records on October 23, 2007. Composer Bear McCreary, who scored the first and second seasons of the show, composed the score for the third season as well. In addition to McCreary's score, the album also features McCreary's new interpretation of the classic Bob Dylan song, "All Along the Watchtower," whose themes featured prominently in several episodes and in McCreary's score. Considered one of the top 10 shows currently on TV by Time Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and TV Guide, Battlestar Galactica also won the prestigious Peabody Award in 2005. The television series stars Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, James Callis, Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff. The third season began by launching the characters' lives a year ahead of the second season finale. As it the action unfolded, viewers discovered how each of the backstories evolved over the past year. All the while, more light was shed on the inner workings of the mysterious Cylons. Towards the end of the season, a familiar musical theme was heard. By the final episodes it all became evident, these melodies were part of what would be a total re-imagination of the 1967 Bob Dylan classic "All Along the Watchtower," performed by BT4 and featuring former Oingo Boingo musicians John Avila on bass and Steve Bartek on guitar. "It was a daring idea by Ron Moore, and at first I thought he was crazy," confessed McCreary. "It's a classic song that was completely redefined by Jimi Hendrix. But, Ron told me to make it my own and gave me total creative freedom to re-invent this song for Battlestar Galactica. And when the episode came together, I knew it was the right choice." The song's lyrics, including "There must be some way out of here / Said the joker to the thief / There's too much confusion / I can't get no relief," perfectly reflect what the human race is going through in their battle with the Cylons through the series. Both the song and the show raise questions about the very nature of humanity and our struggle to survive against what holds us captive. In addition to the new performance of the song, the soundtrack album features the original score that McCreary wrote for the season. "The show is evolving," describes McCreary. "And the music is evolving as well. It is head and shoulders above anything that I've done before." Bear McCreary's feature film credits include Wrong Turn 2 and Rest Stop. He also scores the hit series Eureka for Sci Fi Channel and the upcoming Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for Fox. McCreary was among a handful of select protégés of late film music legend Elmer Bernstein (THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN) and is a classically trained composer with degrees in Composition and Recording Arts from the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music. Battlestar Galactica: Razor will be released on DVD December 4. The fourth season premieres on January 11, 2008 on the Sci Fi Channel. The Battlestar Galactica: Season Three soundtrack will be available in stores or from www.lalalandrecords.com on October 23, 2007. The soundtrack from the Battlestar Galactica mini-series, the Season One and Season Two soundtracks, and Wrong Turn 2 are also available from La-La Land Records.
