Battlestar Galactica Volume I is a collection of the first five of Dynamite Entertainment's initial series of Re-imagined BSG-based comics, released as a hardback graphic novel, with extra (non-story) material. The stories take place between Season 2 episodes. It is sometimes referred to as the Battlestar Galactica Hardcover, and was released with two different covers, illustrated here.
Overview
Book description from Amazon.com:
- Overseen by series Producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick and set in-between episodes of the Sci-Fi Channel's Battlestar Galactica's second season, this collection of comics features a powerful tale of survival an dupheaval among the last remnants of the 12 Colonies of Man. As Adama and crew race to escape the Cylon threat and find a path to Earth, a new menace is uncovered among the fleet in the form of the "Returner." Holding a deadly secret to all aboard, these "Returners" have taken the forms of those long thought lost. Collecting issues 0-4 of Dynamite's Battlestar Galactica series, featuring writer Greg Pak and artist Nigel Raynor, this edition also includes a complete cover gallery featuring Michael Turner, Steve McNiven, Billy Tan, Tyler Kirkham, E-Bas and more along with a special writer's commentary on issue #1.
