I found out where this non-canon information has been coming from - the makers of the famously apocryphal Babylon 5 tech guide (it had a familiar reek).

Merge Update
Given that this is more applicable to the wiki's mission rather than just an article, I merged the information in the old "Non-canonical" article to this, then moved this to the BW namespace for guideline and policy. I've marked this as guideline for now, but it should probably be a policy given the sensitive nature of seperate continuity, canon and always-encroaching fanon.
Note: I had a problem updating this talk page after my move; hopefully there's no database issue. --Spencerian 13:34, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- Could be because you typoed the destination name, which I fixed shortly before - or rather while - you edited the page. --Serenity 13:39, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
Deleted scenes
Deleted scenes are covered in detail in deleted scene articles, and are briefly summarized in the deleted scenes sections of episode articles. How should information from deleted scenes be handled in other articles, such as character articles? -- Gordon Ecker 05:10, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- If deleted scenes don't contradict information presented in the aired or extended versions, then we typically include them. If not, then we don't, although we may make a note of it in the "notes" section. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 20:26, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
