Lt. Richard "Buster" Bayer is a Raptor pilot assigned to the Battlestar Pegasus.
He flew Raptor 718 during a Raptor Training Exercise and responded to a false distress signal. Not long after reaching the signal's origin, Bayer, his ECO, and the crew of the other Raptor, Raptor 314 were killed. (The Captain's Hand)
