Lieutenant Alistair Thorne is an officer aboard the battlestar Pegasus.

Thorne's role is well known amongst his fellow crew mates as the "Cylon Interrogator". His method of interrogation includes torture and sexual assault, aided by Pegasus marines. Thorne and his men apparently raped the captured Cylon infiltrator known as Gina, a copy of Number Six, on a routine basis (his men were "lining up for turns" with her), which this probably led to her near-catatonic mental condition.

Thorne is attempting to "interrogate" the Caprica copy of Sharon Valerii in Galactica's special brig when Galen Tyrol and Karl Agathon intervene to stop him. Thorne accidentally dies when Tyrol throws him against the brig's wall, and Thorne's head strikes an exposed bolt.

Admiral Helena Cain, who may have been complicit in the behavior, summarily arrests Tyrol and Agathon. (Pegasus)

Thorne chokes Sharon Valerii as part of his "interrogation" in Pegasus.
