Additional Information | |||
The Intersun Passenger Cruiser is a standard model passenger liner created by the Intersun company.
Other luxury liners in the Fleet, including the Rising Star, Colonial One and Cloud 9 are of other spaceliner classes.
Ships
Intersun had licensed the Intersun Passenger Cruiser model to various other spaceliners. This standard model made by Intersun had proved a successful one as it was adopted by many of the colonies.
Liners of this model include:
A few other variants of this ship type have been seen from time to time, although their spaceline affiliation remains unknown.
- A red passenger cruiser is among the first ships to join Laura Roslin's Fleet in the Miniseries. Some fans have identified this with Gemon Liners, a company name visible on a similar red liner in several promotional renders by Zoic employee Gabriel Köerner.
- An orange passenger cruiser is visible later on during the Miniseries, as Roslin's fleet continues to grow.
Note
- Although presented in some detail on SciFi.com, the name and background of this ship class are here for descriptive use only. The name "Intersun" is displayed on the side of Colonial Heavy 798 and on its pilot's uniforms but not spoken on screen. No additional information has been provided on any of the ships of this class since the episode, "33."
- This vessel was an alternate model for Colonial One, which was rejected in favor of the current model.
