Centaurus system is a location within range of Sol.
After determining that the Cylons lie in wait at Barnard's Star for the Galactican Fleet to discover Earth, Doctor Zee notes that the Fleet will head to that system in order to draw the Cylons away from an unprepared Earth.[1]
