I think it was up at least 2 days ago. I keep checking the site to see if they have put up the BSG soundtrack. I'm interested in buying it. Is the theme from Adama's atmo hyperjump when invading New Caprica available? It's pretty much the only reason why I would get this soundtrack. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lork (talk • contribs).

Its highly likely, its an important piece of music in the show much like how i felt when I first heard Pegasus (2:46) in the episode where we first see it. I think its going to be part of Storming New Caprica (7:48) but my copy should be either waiting for me when I get home or come tomorrow so i'll let you know then. --Mercifull ^{(Talk/Contribs)} 07:37, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

I got my copy of it yesterday at Best Buy and yes, the Adama manuver music is part of track 4, "Storming New Caprica". Another highlight near the very end of the track is the music playing as Pegasus rams into the basestar. --Talos 09:11, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

The soundtrack really has a lot of other great stuff besides that track and the way, way overrated "All Along the Watchtower". "Admiral and Commander" (the Adama goodbye from "Exodus, Part I) for example has a nice guitar part in the middle that's not on TV. "A Distant Sadness" (opening of "Occupation"), "Refugees Return", "Violence and Variations", "Adama Falls", "Battlestar Sonatica", "Kat's Sacrifice", "Temple of Five" and "Gentle Execution" are top tracks too. I love "Admiral and Commander", that's my favorite track on the cd, especially since it incorporates my favorite melody, all the way back to "A Good Lighter" in the Season One OST. "Adama Falls" and "The Dance" from Unfinished Business were good too. It seems with each successive album, I enjoy more and more of it. I listened to it again during my hour long commute to college, I'll be listening to it on the way back too. --Talos 09:54, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for the swift replies! I just had a chatter with a friend of mine over icq and recently, he let me listened to that Storming Caprica music over teamspeak2. Hmm... First off, that track does indeed have the theme, but the end of it sort of "branches" off. It's not like the scene when the galactica emerges from hyperspace/from the hyperjump. Using audacity, I recorded it and compared it with the clip at youtube - They differ from each other :( I asked my buddy to check further, but just by skimming that track, he said there were none of the themes alike the youtube clip! :( Following the icq chat, he said around and between 2:09 and 2:28 is where the different theme is heard. Not going to stop me from getting the soundtrack, but I'm a bit disappointed that it sounds different... or is this theme heard in previous soundtracks?! Theres a few of them now on the site and they take up a lot of room. I was wonderinf if perhaps we should create a template so that they are more easily distinguised from text written by us? Here is an example of what it might look like.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: SEASON THREE SOUNDTRACK TO BE RELEASED BY LA-LA LAND RECORDS ON OCTOBER 23RD Soundtrack includes a new interpretation of the classic "All Along The Watchtower" (October 8, 2007- Burbank, CA) - The soundtrack from the standout third season of the SciFi Channel's critically acclaimed television series, Battlestar Galactica, will be released by La-La Land Records on October 23, 2007. Composer Bear McCreary, who scored the first and second seasons of the show, composed the score for the third season as well. In addition to McCreary's score, the album also features McCreary's new interpretation of the classic Bob Dylan song, "All Along the Watchtower," whose themes featured prominently in several episodes and in McCreary's score. Considered one of the top 10 shows currently on TV by Time Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and TV Guide, Battlestar Galactica also won the prestigious Peabody Award in 2005. The television series stars Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, James Callis, Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff. The third season began by launching the characters' lives a year ahead of the second season finale. As it the action unfolded, viewers discovered how each of the backstories evolved over the past year. All the while, more light was shed on the inner workings of the mysterious Cylons. Towards the end of the season, a familiar musical theme was heard. By the final episodes it all became evident, these melodies were part of what would be a total re-imagination of the 1967 Bob Dylan classic "All Along the Watchtower," performed by BT4 and featuring former Oingo Boingo musicians John Avila on bass and Steve Bartek on guitar. "It was a daring idea by Ron Moore, and at first I thought he was crazy," confessed McCreary. "It's a classic song that was completely redefined by Jimi Hendrix. But, Ron told me to make it my own and gave me total creative freedom to re-invent this song for Battlestar Galactica. And when the episode came together, I knew it was the right choice." The song's lyrics, including "There must be some way out of here / Said the joker to the thief / There's too much confusion / I can't get no relief," perfectly reflect what the human race is going through in their battle with the Cylons through the series. Both the song and the show raise questions about the very nature of humanity and our struggle to survive against what holds us captive. In addition to the new performance of the song, the soundtrack album features the original score that McCreary wrote for the season. "The show is evolving," describes McCreary. "And the music is evolving as well. It is head and shoulders above anything that I've done before." Bear McCreary's feature film credits include Wrong Turn 2 and Rest Stop.
