Galen Tyrol is a Cylon that was first encountered on board Galactica.. He still serves as Chief mechanic on the Galactica. Since the start of the series, he has lead rebellions against the Cylon race, fathered a Hybrid-Cylon son, and even at one point was in love with another Cylon model. This model can be seen as a religious that seeks the guidance from another Cylon in the form of comfort. Although his hated for the Cylon race is very present, many unanswered questions (Crossroads, Part II) arise from him being pegged as a Cylon.
