A cat is a feline creature familiar to the Twelve Colonies, and may refer to:
- Catbird, a callsign for a Pegasus Viper pilot (The Captain's Hand).
- Lampkin's cat, a male feline carried in a backpack by Romo Lampkin, Gaius Baltar's second defense attorney (The Son Also Rises).
Additionally, the animal is referred to in other noteworthy ways, including:
- "The Man With Nine Lives", an episode of the Original Series, the title of which refers to a common lore surrounding cats having "nine lives".
- In the Miniseries and later in "Maelstrom", Kara Thrace and William Adama recite a military jodie.
- Adama: Good mornin' Starbuck. Whaddya hear?
