Raptor's FTL into the Canyon

Breeder's Canyon is a natural landmark on New Caprica. It was carved out by a shallow, winding river that flows through the center of the valley. Surrounding the river is a forest containing numerous trees and shrubs. The greenery continues up the canyon walls until the peaks of the rocks, which appear to be barren sandstone. From Tyrol's comments, Breeder's Canyon is apparently a long distance to walk from New Caprica City.

This canyon's riverbanks was selected as the rendezvous point between Galactica's Raptor contingency led by new officer Sharon Agathon, and the New Caprica Insurgency led by Samuel T. Anders. Having been tipped off by Ellen Tigh, the Cylons ambushed both forces, taking the lives of a few insurgents.

A quasi-road that led to Breeder's Canyon was used by New Caprica Police transports to ferry suspected insurgents to execution. The executions occured in a clearing next to the muddy track. Cally, who was in the crowd but freed by Jammer, escaped into a dell that was heavy in trees and ran along the river.
