Adama is the Earth-built battlestar constructed in cooperation between the Colonial survivors and the United Nations.
It is constructed in a shipyard located in Guymon, Oklahoma, United States of America as no other Colonial craft survived the Battle for Earth; it is the only ship of its kind due to the limited resources on Earth. It is named after Commander Troykus Adama, who sacrificed his life in a suicide-run against Omega-Monthu, Baltar's basestar (Galactica 1980 #4).
Notes
- The ship bears a striking and deliberate resemblance to the Re-imagined Series' Galactica.
