The Milky Way galaxy is the name given by the humans on Earth to the galaxy.
The Super Scouts apparently know specific information regarding the galaxy; an older male Super Scout corrects Marcy by saying that the number of stars is 114 billion, and not the 110 billion she mentions during her presentation (The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I).
