I'm not certain if his name is indeed confirmed as "Whiplash"; when Stinger says "Whiplash and Thumper, go do (whatever)" he acknowledges him, but we can't tell which name he reacts to.  I will have to examine the credits when I get a chance.  That said, I hope his name is Whiplash, as that is a cooler name for our old friend Sebastian Spence. --[[User:Ricimer|Ricimer]] 23:19, 25 December 2005 (EST)

--Ricimer 23:19, 25 December 2005 (EST)

Well, the reason I put him down as Whiplash (along with it being a good name for the former First Wave star) is that the List of Pilots has Whiplash as the one that was chatting with Starbuck and Racetrack earlier in the episode.--Ltcrashdown 23:44, 25 December 2005 (EST)

We can always change it later, once more information comes out about it. I should add that some of the quotes and transcripts I've read online indicate that Spence played WHiplash.--Ltcrashdown 09:52, 26 December 2005 (EST)
For the record, these transcripts are notoriously innacurate; they're just phonetically spelled, etc. And although audio-accurate, they often aren't spelling accurate; more importantly, they've been known to just "assign" names to minor characters when they have a LIST of character names but don't know which is which. I myself saw the transcripts identifying him as Whiplash when Pegasus came out, but I felt it would be better to wait until the credits could be examined....that said, I just openned up a Season 2.0 set as a Christmas package, and am assimilating it now. Full credits for season 2 should be posted here by tomorrow. 5x5. --Ricimer 22:14, 26 December 2005 (EST)
I know the unreliability of transcripts, but the only 'official' listings show 'Sebastian Spence as Pegasus Pilot'. he's also not in the closing credits for Pegasus, and guest star characters aren't included in opening credits. Either way, we'll get this settled eventually, so it's not a big deal. I just hope Spence/WHiplash appears some more in Battlestar Galactica.--Ltcrashdown 23:20, 26 December 2005 (EST)
