Formerly a maintenance worker on a civilian ship in the Fleet, the Greenleaf, Janik is recruited to aid in ammunition creation and stocking for Vipers.
She apparently tampers with several rounds, leaving the casings weak and prone to explode, damaging a Viper's gun or even a whole wing section. Captain Adama arrests her. Janik practically confesses to the crime when seeing Adama by yelling a declaration of her group's causes throughout the ammo machinery area as she's carted away.
