Notes
- This was the first issue of The Official Battlestar Galactica Magazine, though it was not numbered as such. The regular numbered series would begin with Issue 1 in August/September 2005.
- The publication was timed to coincide with the broadcast of the miniseries on the Sci Fi Channel, which aired December 8-9, 2003.
- Despite being labeled a "Souvenir Magazine," this issue served as a de facto pilot for what would become the regular magazine series.
- The miniseries itself attracted 3.9 million viewers for Part 1 and 4.5 million viewers for Part 2, making it the highest-rated miniseries on cable that year and prompting Sci Fi Channel to order a regular series.
- The near two-year gap between this Special Issue and Issue 1 reflected the time between the miniseries broadcast and the start of regular series production.
- This issue featured comprehensive coverage of the cast described as "all the main players," focusing on the core ensemble that would carry through to the regular series.
