minor edit in character name[edit]

According to Fulvio Cecere himself and IMDb his character name was Alastair Thorne (with an A) not Alistair Thorne. I've changed it throughout the "Alastair Thorne" page (as well as on Fulvio's BS Wiki page which I updated from a stub) but I can't change it in the title/fileneme (so now on Fulvio's page it's pointing at an empty page until you change). Thanx. --MAD 07:38, 25 January 2007 (CST)

Ads at Hangarbay?[edit]

If you get a chance, I'd like to get the ads going at the hangarbay. I'm willing to do the gruntwork, but I'm not sure how it's accomplished. I found the adbrite javascript here at en, but it appears to be buried in javascript and I can't find a wiki page that it runs off of. I'd like to try adorning the hangarbay with all the different possible ad locations and orientations. --Steelviper 15:17, 8 January 2007 (CST)

Do you have FTP access? I belive it requires editing of the CSS. I could be wrong however so just have to wait for Shane to reply. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 05:38, 11 January 2007 (CST)
FTP is needed. The files to be needed to change are the skin templates. I have an Adbrite.php file created, but I need the new zone codes and need to add the switches in for the size of the ad. I'll do that this evening and then send you guys FTP access for the HB. Shane (T - C - E) 06:23, 11 January 2007 (CST)

JavaScript question[edit]

Hi Shane. Thanks again for the userpage template. Now for my question ... I have a simple JavaScript to display a random quote, it's here. Is there any way I can use it on my userpage, have my userpage "call" out to it and display the output (the quote) ? Thanks for any explanation and assistance you can give me. JubalHarshaw 10:18, 11 January 2007 (CST)

User:JubalHarshaw/bsgbook.js - needs to be created and then you gotta install some hooks. Check out my javascript files for some insight. default.js and tabs.js are your best bet. Shane (T - C - E) 13:47, 11 January 2007 (CST)

Thanks for the pointers. My programming skill is minimal, so it'll probably take me awhile to figure out. It was just something for my own amusement anyway. Cheers. JubalHarshaw 07:51, 12 January 2007 (CST)

Fixed. Shane (T - C - E) 12:32, 20 January 2007 (CST)

Battlestar Wiki:Template List/XML Templates/Instructions - Are you still working on this document? --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 05:13, 18 January 2007 (CST)

Oh, that's YOU[edit]

After I welcomed the second user account this morning, I realized you were making test accounts for your bots. My bad. --Spencerian 09:40, 21 January 2007 (CST)

The second one I am going to delete from the Database. but if you can change this bots user rights to: sysop and bot, that would be great. :-) Shane (T - C - E) 09:44, 21 January 2007 (CST)
Done. --Spencerian 09:48, 21 January 2007 (CST)

Bug in image system[edit]

I'm not sure if you know of this but I've discovered a bug in your image system, go to: [1] - notice it has the BSMW info etc? Then go to: (removed link... cauing problems) (purge) then view the image info page again, the BSMW box has gone? MatthewFenton 15:01, 21 January 2007 (CST)

That's for sure a media wiki error. Werid. :-P Shane (T - C - E) 15:03, 21 January 2007 (CST)
Ah, I see (btw.. it was purely accidental I discovered the bug, was attempting to get the page to update information just in case your wondering :-)) MatthewFenton 15:05, 21 January 2007 (CST)
It should have done it right away. It's not on english so it gets it directly on the database of the media. :-) Shane (T - C - E) 15:09, 21 January 2007 (CST)
I see, the problem I had was it was showing an outdated file size, just noticed you removed the link as well, sorry if I've caused you any big problems :-( MatthewFenton 17:53, 21 January 2007 (CST)
I was trying to re-generate the flag and I was having troubles. no biggie.... not like the snow that is on my car right now. Shane (T - C - E) 17:55, 21 January 2007 (CST)
Snow is awesome and I envy you for having it there. --BklynBruzer 18:54, 21 January 2007 (CST)
In Virgina?? I moved to this state to get away from the Snow. Not be in it. Shane (T - C - E) 18:57, 21 January 2007 (CST)
If you intentionally tried to get away from snow, I have no recourse but to call you weird. --BklynBruzer 19:48, 21 January 2007 (CST)

Oh I see, I'm getting confused with how time works in USA - tired as well I guess 3am here :-P MatthewFenton 20:56, 21 January 2007 (CST)

Hah, this is embarassing, but how do we access our admin emails? --Talos 05:30, 2 February 2007 (CST)

I haven't received anything in my old Yahoo account or my new bswiki account this morning (I just changed my wiki email to that address), nor is there anything from its mailing list. 'Sup? --Spencerian 08:09, 2 February 2007 (CST)
