Hello. This is the discussion page for the Edward James Olmos article. Note that this always existed, there was just never anything to type in here. --The Merovingian 15:54, 11 March 2006 (CST)
EJO Wikipedia Article
For anybody who might have a little more evidence backing this up, Edward's Wikipedia article states explicitly - quoting the podcast - that he won't be with the show for Season 3. I'm certain that by now that's been sussed out as owing to Ron Moore's sense of humor, but without a little more evidence by statement on the article's talk page is just an argument to assertion. Would any of the dedicated volunteers over here be so kind as to head over to that article, explain the confusion, and delete the statement?
Directing BSG
(note: this is what a typical cast talk page entry is like (see above)): I can't find a specific article at the moment but he's said it multiple times in various interviews. --The Merovingian (C - E) 00:09, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
- Keep your eyes open. We can replace the citation needed tag when someone finds a source. --April Arcus 02:13, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
- Speaking of which, I found some good pics of EJO actually directing Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down on this page in the Galacticastation.com gallery. Can we use some?--The Merovingian (C - E) 03:24, 5 April 2006 (CDT)
I've met him!
A couple of weeks back, I was on an Amtrak train, and I was watching BSG on my laptop. I'm sitting there, watching Cmdr. Adama get shot (Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II), when he sits down in the seat accross from mine. Needless to say, it was frakking eerie. He asked me what I thought about BSG, and I fanboyed out on him for a few minutes, but then I settled myself down and chatted with him the rest of the ride. ^.^ --BklynBruzer 07:50, 12 September 2006 (CDT)
GIT-R-DONE
In the article should we mention that Larry the Cable Guy Mentioned him in His Book as the faceless announcer? Snorkel378
- I'd personally say no, due to my intense dislike of larry the cable guy, but I will leave the rest of the consensus to everyone else. --BklynBruzer 17:13, 8 January 2007 (CST)
EJO married to L. Nadal?
Hey! :-) I've just come across a news on yahoo.com and I don't know what to make out of it. Is Olmos really married to the woman at his side or is the news incorrect? Actor Edward James Olmos, left, and his wife, actress Lymari Nadal arrive at the 2007 National Hispanic Media Coalition's Impact Awards at the Regent Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Friday, Feb. 23, 2007. - Hey! :-) Found the answer. According to EJOs Wiki-entry he's currently married to Lymarie, a Puerto Rican actress. They updated the entry just a few days ago. And I translated his biography for caprica-city.de last weekend. EJO @ wikipedia.org ;-)) --CC-Mel 15:27, 24 February 2007 (CST)
CreativeCommons picture
What's peoples opinion of using a CreativeCommons picture of Edward here?[1] MatthewFenton 08:21, 16 April 2007 (CDT)
- I'm fine with it. Rather use that one than the one we are presently using, since the one we're using is only fair-usable. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 09:12, 16 April 2007 (CDT)
Cleanup
Article could stand the concision fairy and cleanup, particularly in terms of proper formatting (italics of titles, for instance). Anyone who wants to tackle it is more than welcome to do so! :D -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 19:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
