After witnessing the Galacticans' night planting and the arrival of the anti-gravity ship, John Steadman summons a sheriff and his deputy to arrest the "illegal aliens" at Alonzo Farm. While truthful about what he saw, Stockton's tale is seen as unbelievable and he is met with incredulity, and the sheriff soon decides in the favor of the Alonzos and the Galacticans (1980: "Space Croppers").
- The unnamed sheriff is played by Kenneth Tobey, who was uncredited for this role. He has since been identified using computer-aided face recognition.
