John Andrew Tartaglia (14 March 1944―16 June 2023[1]) is an American song composer.
He composed (with Glen A. Larson and Sue Collins) the song "It's Love, Love, Love" performed by the Space Angels in the Original Series' pilot episode "Saga of a Star World." He would later work on Galactica 1980 with these same contributors on the "Galactic Scouts" song.
As with his other contributors, he was Grammy Award nominated in 1979 CE under the category Best Album Of Original Score Written For A Motion Picture Or Television Special for Battlestar Galactica.[2]
He worked on a variety of Glen Larson productions, beginning with Alias Smith and Jones (1971 CE) up to The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo (1980-81 CE).
Tartaglia passed on 16 June 2023 and is interred in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, California, USA.[1]
