William Daniels (born March 27, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American actor who portrayed Norman in the Galactica 1980 episodes "The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I" and "Part II".

Known for his distinctive voice, Daniels has portrayed many critical but competent characters in his career.

His association with Battlestar creator Glen Larson would land him in co-starring roles in more successful Larson TV series, particularly Knight Rider as the voice of "K.I.T.T", the sentient Knight Industries Two-Thousand "supercar" central computer with a main sensor that (not so curiously) resembles the eye sensor of a Cylon Centurion from Larson's earlier works.

Daniels' won an Emmy for his role as Dr. Craig in the 1980's TV medical drama, St. Elsewhere.

Daniels is a past president of the Screen Actors Guild.
