The rapid transport trolly is a transportation system aboard Galactica designed to get the pilots to their Vipers as quickly as possible.
This transport system is used during emergencies when Galactica needs to quickly launch her fighters. However, it is not used for routine patrols, for which the pilots make their way using more conventional means (Saga of a Star World).
