Julia Prynne was among the handful of survivors from the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, later settling down on New Caprica with most of the civilian population.

One year later, after the Cylon fleet detects the radiological signature of the nuclear bomb set off by Gina, they quickly take New Caprica City, occupying the last remanents of humanity. Julia's daughter who survived the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, is taken by Leoben Conoy and used very convincingly to seduce Starbuck.

With the Second Exodus, Julia is shocked to discover Kacey alive and well, when Starbuck returns to Galactica with Kacey in her arms. By pure chance Julia is among many civilians brought aboard Galactica and notices Kacey in Starbuck's arms. She hurries over in amazement, embracing her daughter after 4 months apart. Julia thanks Starbuck and carries on with the other surviving civilians, making there way to there temporary homes on the hanger deck.

Some weeks later, Julia surprises a very angry and confused Starbuck letting her know that Kacey has been asking about her. Starbuck lets Julia know quite rudely that her and her daughter are better off without her in their lives. An angry and upset Julia stompes off with Kacey in her arms back to Camp Oil Slick.

Starbuck renewed with determination to work out her feelings and get her life back on track visits Julia and Kacey on the Hanger deck, where she makes peace with Julia and Kacey and hersself.
