Jim Thomson is the voice of Serge, the Graystone's butler robot in Caprica.

In addition to his voice work, he worked as an assistant editor on the Caprica pilot. The producers credit Thomson's vocal performance with saving the character of Serge from being cut from the show. After hearing his take, they were convinced the concept of a domestic robot would work.[1] According to the commentary, Thomson is a certified genius and a member of the Mensa Club.[2]

The bulk of his work has been in editing, which includes work on notable genre series such as Space: Above and Beyond, Millennium, Quantum Leap and seaQuest DSV.
