Allows for the conversion of ACH (After Colonial Holocaust) dates to YR dates established in Caprica, and linking these to redirects that point to specific timeline pages.
This template automatically calculates ACH events based on Caprica BYR dates.
Notes[edit]
The epoch of the timeline, as established by Caprica's writers, is 0 BCH (2000BYR). Mirroring the logically implied fact that the Re-imagined Series universe mirrors the measurements of "our" universe, "year zero" does not exist in the Anno Domini year system used by either the Gregorian calendar or its predecessor, 1 BCH (99YR) is directly followed by 1 ACH (2000BYR).
In maintaining clarity of date usage on Battlestar Wiki, all Caprica and pre-Fall events are rendered in the YR suffix, e.g. 40 BCH (60YR) marks the end of the First Cylon War, leading up to BCH being the [[Fall of the Twelve Colonies}}. Thus, all ACH dates of the Re-imagined Series itself are rendered in the "2000s," even though they may also be theoretically rendered as YR dates with the assumption that 4 ACH equals 04YR (2004BYR).
