Delete The {{Battle Data}} template has the cronology. I really don't see a point to this template. Comments? --Shane (T - C - E) 21:30, 8 October 2006 (CDT)

bump to get comments
Delete I honestly do not see the need for it, either. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 21:41, 8 October 2006 (CDT)
Delete Agree. Down with template clutter. --Peter Farago 02:05, 9 October 2006 (CDT)
Delete While episode data also contains a chronology redundant with the episode list template, that's a far more core/critical article series. I don't know how most people navigate the battles, but there are currently few enough (even across three seasons) that it doesn't seem like an undue burden to scroll through them chronologically, or just to click on the Colonial Battles (RDM) category if you want to view them all at once. --Steelviper 09:24, 9 October 2006 (CDT)
Keep I personally think it works quite well, give great ease of navigation and doesnt clutter the page. I'm not too bothered either way but I thought id just put my view across. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 11:17, 9 October 2006 (CDT)
Delete. I prefer the K.I.S.S. principle here; the original template works fine and leaves one less thing to edit. --Spencerian 11:24, 9 October 2006 (CDT)
Keep The battles of the Cylon War are significant and numerous enough to warrant a template like this. The template people to access the different articles on each. -- Troyian 17:52, 10 October 2006 (CDT)
Maybe if placed on articles that arn't the battle pages, but otherwise it's always going to be directly below the very large {{Battle Data}} template. --Shane (T - C - E) 02:19, 22 October 2006 (CDT)
What other pages would this thing go on? -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 13:21, 22 October 2006 (CDT)
Keep I like it becuase episode pages dont tell me details of the battles and these do and i like too look up stuff about them and the battk\le pages keep it way easy-Snorkel378

The results of the above vote: 62% (5) for delete; 38% (3) to keep. No consensus established, template not deleted. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 19:20, 17 December 2006 (CST)

Deletion

Vote stood at 5-3 as of 23 October. Do we have consensus for deletion? --Peter Farago 02:35, 17 December 2006 (CST)

Not really... Shane (T - C - E) 10:34, 17 December 2006 (CST)
62% for deletion isn't consensus, unless we want to redo the vote. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 19:16, 17 December 2006 (CST)
I think perhaps some more comments are needed on the matter. If another vote was done right away the results would probably be about the same. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 04:02, 18 December 2006 (CST)
Keep The templates at "Category:Navigational Infobox" are wonderful, letting you move with one click from an episode, character, ship, or battle page to any other page in the same category. If someone had to manually scroll though each episode, character, ship, or battle to reach them all, this site would not be nearly so useful. - Keithustus 10:57, 19 December 2006 (CST)

Battle missing

This could use a link to the battle where Natalie's fleet is attacked by the Cavils and she barely escacpes. It was easily the first major battle of the Cylon Civil War. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Blue Rook (talk • contribs).

That's covered at Cylon Civil War and discussed on that talk page. The battle to destroy the Resurrection Hub could have an own page maybe, but that initial engagement just doesn't have any substance for an own own article. There is hardly anything to write about it on its own. What's interesting is the circumstances leading up to it and the consequences. And that's better covered in article about the whole war, instead of slavishly creating battle pages for their own sake. I added a link to the section of the Civil War page though. -- Serenity 07:09, 10 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Battle of Medra

I noticed a battle has been added to this template: "Battle of Medra" ... I know it's been mentioned that Socrata Thrace was stationed there, and some combat took place there during the Cylon War, but is there really enough information to warrant its own battle page?
