Here's What I Hear
Didn't know how to fit this in to any article, so just thought I'd put it here.
- Lucy Lawless will guest star in several episodes as an investigative journalist (who is probably the same oen that I've ehard does an expose on Colonel Tigh in one episode)
- The new Commander Cain will be a female.
- SciFi is going to start an official BattlestarWiki...which makes me wonder if most of the articles might not be "borrowed" from here. Kuralyov 21:46, 12 Jun 2005 (EDT)
- For those who are curious, the report is from TheGreatLink.
- As for my reaction, as irrelevant as it can be, I'm not too fond of Ms. Lawless as an actress -- however, I can deal. The whole idea of Commander Cain being female doesn't surprise me either -- it's likely the same reason that Starbuck was made a male. (They likely wish to avoid comparisons between Cain (TOS) and new Cain.)
- What did strike me was, of course, the whole Wiki thing. Now that's wonderful. :-) However, will it solely focus on the new series or the old as well? Also, will it be like Wikipedia, in that anyone can edit it? Or will it have certain restrictions, given that it is run by a for-proft corporation? Also, while we have yet royally pissed off anybody (we've had a few vandals, but they've been dealt with), a site with the connections and resources of Sci Fi Channel would likely be a larger (and more tempting) target. -- Joe Beaudoin 16:49, 14 Jun 2005 (EDT)

- I'm with you on Lucy Lawless. Can't stand Xena, and haven't seen anything else with her, but I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. And I guess this finally quashes those rumors that Dirk Benedict was going to guest star as the Living Legend.
- Here's what's said in the above link about the official Battlestar Wiki:
- SCI-FI also plans to launch an official Battlestar Galactica Wiki site (an unofficial one already exists). Based on Wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia, fans will be able to add and edit content for the site. Engler hopes that this will "give our fans a chance to share their enthusiasm online. We're giving them an outlet that makes them feel more closely tied to the show...[hopefully], all the Battlestar fans [will] help us build the best Battlestar site in the world."
- That was in the middle of an article on how they're planning on expanding online content for the new BSG, so I'm going to assume that A) Anyone'll be able to update (although perhaps with registration?) and B) It'll be limited to the reimagined series. Kuralyov 21:24, 14 Jun 2005 (EDT)
Comment in Summary...
I removed the following from the comment section: Except Sharon, who found herself taking quite a bit of thrusting last season. While I may be waking up, it reads as a bit inappropriate... -- Joe Beaudoin 06:39, 29 Jun 2005 (EDT)
Season 3
I hear that SciFi has decided to give both BSG and Stargate Atlantis a third season. I could care less about Stargate, but...praise the Lords of Kobol!Kuralyov 23:44, 13 September 2005 (EDT)
"Epiphanies"
Where's the source for that? I'd heard a rumor (that I'm not sure I believed) that it was going to be called "Black Market." Kuralyov 19:37, 16 September 2005 (EDT)
Downloaded?
I keep hearing that there is not going to be the episode Downloaded this season. Moore apparently scrapped the idea. Is this official? I was wondering becuase we still have Downloaded listed with a minor episode summary. Anyone know what's going on with that?--Zarek Rocks.
- As I said on that episode page, we aren't sure that "Downloaded" was the "Cylon POV" episode. Confusion rampant; see episode article. --Ricimer 20:41, 31 December 2005 (EST)
- Where on Scifi.com was it stated that Downloaded is episode #2.18?--Ricimer 23:04, 5 January 2006 (EST)
