ITunes

From Battlestar Wiki, the free, open content Battlestar Galactica encyclopedia and episode guide
Revision as of 17:42, 28 June 2006 by CalculatinAvatar (talk | contribs) (remove random bolding)

The correct title of this article is iTunes Videos. The initial letter is capitalized due to technical restrictions.

The iTunes Music Store offers the Re-imagined Series for download in its video section.

Downloaded episodes do not contain closed captioning information or special features as found in the available DVD miniseries and series episode compilations sold elsewhere.

  • The complete Miniseries costs $15.99 to download.
  • Individual episodes cost $1.99 each.
  • The March 6th newsstand edition of TV Guide included a code for a free download of the episode, "Downloaded" from iTunes.

About iTunes

"iTunes" is a free music and multimedia viewing application from Apple Computer, available for both Microsoft Windows and Apple's Mac OS X operating systems. (Linux and other operating systems are not supported.)

The iTunes software allows users access to the iTunes Music Store, which also contains podcasts of Battlestar Galactica episodes as well as series episodes available for download and viewing.

While downloaded episodes (as well as podcasts) can be transferred and played on Apple's portable music/video player, the iPod, viewers need only the latest version of iTunes to download and watch the episodes--an iPod itself is not required.

Use of the iTunes Music Store requires the user to create an "Apple ID" to log into the Music Store and its video selections. A credit card is required for purchase of downloadable material.

Purchased videos are digitally "locked" to the user's Apple ID and cannot be played or exchanged without the user's Apple ID.
