Tom Zarek

Karl "Helo" Agathon was originally supposed to have died after being stranded on Caprica in the Miniseries? The production team enjoyed actor Tahmoh Penikett's performance and fans kept asking them if Helo was going to appear again, because we didn't actually see him die, so they wrote him back into the Season 1 premiere, "33". Even then, the writers were still trying to figure out the Helo storyline: although Caprica-Boomer encountered Helo in "33", it was only by around the fifth episode, "You Can't Go Home Again", that they created the storyline that the Cylons were trying to create Human/Cylon hybrids, which ultimately became a major plotline for the entire series. Now that Helo and Caprica-Sharon have been tricked into thinking that their hybrid daughter Hera is dead, where will their relationship go next?
