As part of battlestar Galactica's decommisioning, a museum was installed in the starboard flight pod. Massive windows were installed in the openings on each end of the pod. The museum contained a number of vehicles and displays relating to the Cylon War including a Viper Mk. I, a Cylon Raider, a Landram, a Cylon Centurion Model 0005, and a full 40-ship squadron of Viper Mk. II fighters.
In the process of the starboard flight pod's conversion into the museum, its launch tubes and launching console were converted into a gift shop, rendering it unusable for flights (Mini-Series).
The decommisioning ceremony and a ceremonial flyby by Galactica's last remaining operational Viper squadron were held here just prior to the Cylon attack on the Twelve Colonies (Mini-Series).
Galactica has returned much of the items of the museum to active use in their exodus from the Colonies, the first items being the Viper Mk. II squadrons.
The remains of the museum was heavily damaged when a Cylon Heavy Raider rammed into it and depressurized the area (Scattered). No information has been given on Galactica's crew returning the starboard flight pod to operational status in any of the aired episodes as of January, 2006.
