:i think the intent was to acknowledge that information established in paperwork created by the props department isn't necessarily the intent of the producers. but what resulted was some pretty bad over thinking your right.  no fan wanking intended. Birth city does not equal living city (i.e. Qualai vs. Caprica City)

Just wanted to bring this to up given Psutherlin recent edit, since it seems that there's some over-thinking (or a bad case of fanwanking) going on here.

To put it simply, it should be explained that a birthplace is different from a place where you live during your youth. For instance, I was born in a hospital in Hartford, CT and thus that is my birth place, but never lived there during my youth.
